When time is ticking by quickly, and you are no where near done on a project. Looking through your wallet and realizing that you don't have enough money to pay for the items you intend to buy when checking out of a store. Taking a test while having no idea how to answer the questions. The little sweet things your significant other says or does at random times of the day. Awaiting the results of a contest in which you participated in. Meeting someone for the first time. Meeting someone for the first time in a long time. Being caught. Or almost being caught. Confessing a secret. Running ten miles.

This one is rather...crappy :| Sorry guys, but I think my brain stopped thinking about midway. Hahaha...:|

Preparing for anything that is far off into the future; a party, a test, a trip, etc. Dressing yourself up when there is no one to impress. Doing a favor for an acquaintance or a complete stranger. Keeping up with an artist who is doing too many things at once. Finishing a boring television series or drama or book. Doing homework or studying for a class where your desired grade is guaranteed. Cooking for yourself for the sixth time during the week. When one upcoming event outshines all other duties and commitments; half-heartedness will be shown to those other duties and commitments. Writing something with a lack of inspiration. Talking to someone who just isn't interested or isn't paying any attention. Listening to someone who talks only about themselves and talks too much. Working on a cold, windy, rainy day. Socializing with people you know, but aren't good friends with. Doing something related to something you despise. Finishing something after sacrificing almost everything for it. Trying to fix something that is already doomed to begin with.

This topic was originally in her book, therefore, I didn't steal it or anything. :D I give her full credit.
;_; I'm not so sure how to tag this stuff.

When a child is reaching for a treat on the top shelf, but barely reaches it. An unexpected letter from a long lost friend. The face of a person when they eat something delicious. A kiss in the rain. People laughing until they're clutching their stomaches with tears in their eyes. A person unknowingly falling asleep on someone's shoulder on the subway. The crinkling of the spine of a new book when a person opens it. Songs that move your heart and bring tears to your eyes. Black and white candid photographs. Staying in bed all day on rainy days. The squeak of hard wood floors. The smell of bread baking. Receiving flowers for no reason at all. Finding a small note from a dear friend in your pocket. Listening to someone talk excitedly about their day. Playing on a playground that is much too small for you. Someone remembering your birthday. Watching someone sleep as they snore softly. Late night snacks. Spontaneously breaking out into song and having others join you. Running through the rain while someone is holding your hand. Pinky promises.

I wrote this two days ago for an assignment at school. I also posted this up at my original journal over at [info]chupark so I just transferred it over here.

Based on the style of Sei Shonagon's The Pillow Book
